Privacy Policy

Beach Cabins Merimbula is run by Pete and Tina Piccione. This page explains what information our website collects, what we do with it and who else sees it.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry or booking request, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the number of people staying, your arrival and departure dates, the cabin you're interested in and your message. If you leave a review through the website, we collect your name, email address and the review itself.

We only use this to reply to you and look after your booking. We don't sell your details or pass them on for anyone else's marketing.

Online bookings

Bookings made through the Book Online button are handled by RMS Cloud, our booking system. RMS collects the details needed to confirm your booking, including payment details. Their privacy policy covers how they look after that information.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use the website, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are from. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this, but it doesn't tell us who you are. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.

Other services on the website

Some pages load content from other companies, which may record your IP address or set their own cookies:

  • Google reCAPTCHA checks our forms for spam.
  • Google Maps shows our location.
  • YouTube plays the videos in our gallery.
  • Tripadvisor and Google show our guest reviews.
  • Splash Internet hosts the Short Point webcam image.

Each of these companies has its own privacy policy. Google's privacy policy covers Analytics, reCAPTCHA, Maps and YouTube.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we need them to look after your booking and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.
